Based in Romania, the project recycles post-consumer plastic waste that would otherwise be landfilled or incinerated, significantly lowering emissions compared to the production of virgin plastic. Over its 1-year crediting period (2017-2026), the project will avoid around 453,800 tons of CO2 emissions, with an annual average reduction of 45380 tonnes CO2. This climate benefit is dramatically reduces greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption, and the environmental burden of raw material extraction. Moreover, the project annual recycles a quantity of approx. 52081 tons of plastic material. By generating verified plastic offset credits, the project directly supports sustainable plastic waste management and enables companies to meet their plastic neutrality and carbon reduction targets.
