JCR-EN-R-001 carbon credit projects
Browse 71 published projects using JCR-EN-R-001, listed alphabetically. There is no ranking for this methodology yet: it appears here automatically once 5 of its projects are rated. Open a project to view its registry details and the analysis available for that project.
What you're looking at
This is an alphabetical list of published projects using JCR-EN-R-001. There are not yet 5 projects with a current score and a registry status eligible for ranking. Some projects may already have an assessment; each dossier shows the analysis available.
CarbonMeld scores assess integrity, transparency, claim safety and documentation using project documents. Higher scores indicate stronger evidence under this framework. How to read CarbonMeld scores.
Project names, codes and registry status come from official registry records. Open a project dossier for its source record.
JCR-EN-R-001: Heat and electricity
Official title, in Japanese: “バイオマス固形燃料(木質バイオマス)による化石燃料又は系統電力の代替”
Methodology issuer: J-Credit Scheme · Official methodology page.
Heat and electricity · Emission reductions
Boilers, generators or combined heat and power units switch to solid fuel made from unused woody biomass, such as pellets, chips or firewood. The method credits the emissions of the fossil fuel or grid power the biomass replaces, mainly for heat and power used on site.
Source for the activity description
Version 2.7 · Active at J-Credit Scheme · status verified on
Version and status refer to the methodology at its issuer. Individual projects may use different versions; these facts do not establish credit eligibility in other programs.
How CarbonMeld reads projects of this type
Versions of the official text these rules cover: Ver.2.7
What CarbonMeld reads
- Additionality: the project must show it with a test. CarbonMeld reads the test in the documents.
- Grid emission factor: the methodology sets rules for it in some cases. CarbonMeld reads it in the project's documents.
Set by the methodology, not assessed in this analysis
- Usage rate of the devices: the methodology sets rules for it (EN-R-001 Ver.2.7 condition 2, p. 2). This analysis does not assess it.
- No legal requirement for the activity: the methodology sets rules for it in some cases. This analysis does not assess it.
- Sustainability of the feedstock: the methodology sets rules for it (EN-R-001 Ver.2.7 condition 3, p. 1). This analysis does not assess it.
- Tracking of the end use: the methodology sets rules for it in some cases. This analysis does not assess it.
- Social safeguards and consent of communities (FPIC): the methodology sets rules for it (EN-R-001 Ver.2.7 condition 6, p. 1). This analysis does not assess it.
Not applicable to this type — never a gap
- Leakage: the criterion does not apply to this methodology. CarbonMeld never counts it as a gap.
- Buffer pool: the criterion does not apply to this methodology. CarbonMeld never counts it as a gap.
- Permanence and reversals: the criterion does not apply to this methodology. CarbonMeld never counts it as a gap.
- Fraction of non-renewable biomass (fNRB): the criterion does not apply to this methodology. CarbonMeld never counts it as a gap.
- Durability of the storage: the criterion does not apply to this methodology. CarbonMeld never counts it as a gap.
