LBC-REBOISEMENT — Reconstitution de peuplements forestiers dégradés

About this methodology

Projects replant French forests that suffered heavy damage from fire, storms or disease. The method counts the carbon the planted stand stores above and below ground, compared with leaving the site to regrow naturally.

How our current method reads projects of this type

Versions of the official text these rules cover: Arrêté du 5 septembre 2025 (référentiel du Label bas carbone), Méthode Plantation de vergers (23 Oct 2020), Méthode Haies v2 (08/06/2021), Méthode boisement v3 (02/09/2025), Méthode boisement v2 (27/07/2020), Méthode reconstitution de peuplements forestiers dégradés v2 (27/07/2020)

What CarbonMeld reads

  • Integrity shown

Additionality: the project must show it with a test (Arrêté du 5 septembre 2025 art. 2, p. 2). CarbonMeld reads the test in the documents.CM-F-LABEL-BAS-CARBONE-FOREST-ADDITIONALITY

  • shown

Permanence and reversals: the methodology sets rules for it (Boisement v3 §1, p. 7). CarbonMeld reads it in the project's documents.CM-F-LABEL-BAS-CARBONE-FOREST-PERMANENCE-REVERSAL
