CAR-MX-LANDFILL: Mexico Landfill Protocol

Methodology issuer: Climate Action Reserve · Official methodology page.

Waste · Emission reductions

Projects collect gas from landfills in Mexico and destroy its methane by flaring or using it for energy. The protocol credits the metered methane destroyed, minus a fixed deduction for the gas control that Mexico's landfill standard NOM-083 already requires.
