Analysis

The San Antonio Tuk IFM project (2,825 ha, Quintana Roo) has a solid field-data infrastructure with 421 plots and 250 species, and three reporting periods verified by TÜV SÜD. However, the most recent verification report (May 2025) does not confirm additionality by the VVB, a 16.9% material error in carbon-stock calculations was identified and corrected, and two findings remain open. The project-specific baseline and 0% leakage deduction are defensible for an IFM context but limit the robustness of the claims.

    No Article 6 authorization

No corresponding adjustment: the host country can also count this reduction towards its own target.
