1. Separate the report date from the period it covers
These are three selected registry monitoring reports, not a claim that they are the latest documents available. Figures below describe those reports; they do not establish today's project status or available credits.

The Katingan report was revised in June 2026 but covers VCS monitoring through December 2023. A recent PDF date does not mean recent monitoring. The two other selected reports cover periods ending in 2020; request subsequent reports for a later vintage.
The 10% and 14% figures are buffer deductions under the reports' risk assessments. A larger deduction alone does not establish higher quality. Compare the assessment basis, monitoring period and subsequent loss or reversal records before drawing that conclusion.
2. Turn the comparison into questions for the seller
For this shortlist, the useful next step is a request for evidence. These three reports alone do not establish which project or offered units to buy.
For each proposed project — VCS-963, VCS-944 or VCS-1477 — please provide:
- The offered vintage, quantity, unit serial range, price, delivery date and offer validity; identify the selling entity and evidence of its right to transfer those units.
- The monitoring report and independent verification statement covering that vintage, with the matching issuance record. For vintages after 2020 in Purus/Alto Mayo or after 2023 in Katingan, supply the subsequent reporting cycle.
- The baseline version and any reassessment applicable to that period, plus the leakage calculation. Explain changes from the selected report rather than comparing totals from different periods.
- The applicable non-permanence risk assessment, buffer contribution and any subsequent loss or reversal record, including how reported losses were handled.
- The status and closure evidence for findings relevant to the offered vintage. Distinguish open issues from corrective actions already resolved.
- Any CORSIA, CCP or Article 6 claim made in the offer, with its project/vintage scope and supporting registry label or authorization. State explicitly when the claim is not being made.
3. Check the current records and refine your shortlist
