Analysis

The Dingess Rum IFM project is a CAR-registered improved forest management project in West Virginia with a 17.59% buffer pool and no reported reversals, but it suffers from significant documentation gaps: no additionality assessment, no leakage treatment, and a project-specific baseline with no recorded reassessment date. The two verification reports show different ERR figures (15,287 vs 50,442 tCO₂e), which appear to reflect different monitoring periods rather than a true discrepancy, but the absence of an ex-ante lifetime estimate prevents a meaningful pro-rata delivery check.
