Analysis

This Gold Standard biogas PoA in Sichuan covers 240,252 rural households and uses well-established AMS methodologies with a VVB-verified combined additionality test. However, the verification report (November 2024) lists over 50 material findings and 26 corrective actions, including numerous calculation errors in the monitoring report, missing parameters, and data inconsistencies across documents. The absence of a buffer pool, a weak leakage justification (0% deduction, 'deemed negligible'), and a significant discrepancy between the ex-ante lifetime estimate and the verified annual figure raise material over-crediting and permanence concerns.
