Score Breakdown

Integrity

verified The validation/verification documentation indicates additionality was confirmed by the VVB, and the monitoring report reports no material findings or corrective actions.

missing Baseline quantification inputs (e.g., grid emission factor and reassessment timing) are not found in the extracted record, weakening confidence in baseline robustness.

Transparency

verified The monitoring period (2018-01-15 to 2021-08-31) and verified ERs (13,936 tCO2e) are clearly stated in the monitoring report (2021).

missing Claimed ERs are not found in the extracted record, and key MRV parameters (grid emission factor, leakage treatment) are not transparently captured in the extracted data.

Claim Safety

verified The activity is renewable electricity generation (solar PV) using AMS-I.D, which generally has lower manipulation risk than many land-use categories.

missing CORSIA and CCP status are not stated in available documents, and missing baseline/leakage details elevate over-crediting and marketing-claim uncertainty.

Documentation

verified Multiple core documents are evidenced (monitoring report, validation report, PDD) with high extraction confidence and 8 documents used.

missing Some key fields remain unspecified in the extracted record (e.g., additionality test type, grid EF year/value), indicating partial data capture or incomplete disclosure in the available set.

Detailed Analysis

Integrity

The monitoring report (2021) reports 13,936 tCO2e verified and notes no material findings and no corrective actions, which supports implementation quality. Additionality is indicated as confirmed by the VVB in the extracted record, consistent with a VCS renewable energy project. However, the baseline is described only as project-specific and the grid emission factor (and any reassessment timing) is not found in the extracted record, which reduces confidence in the baseline emissions calculation underpinning the ERs.

Transparency

The monitoring report (2021) provides a clear monitoring period (2018-01-15 to 2021-08-31) and a verified ER total of 13,936 tCO2e, and the VVB is identified as LGAI Technological Center, S.A. (Applus+ Certification). At the same time, the claimed ER total is not found in the extracted record, preventing a direct claimed-versus-verified comparison. Key calculation inputs such as the grid emission factor and leakage handling are also not transparently available in the extracted fields.

Claim Safety

As a solar PV grid-connected project under AMS-I.D, the main claim risk typically hinges on correct grid emission factor selection and conservative monitoring of net electricity supplied. In the extracted record, the grid emission factor value/year is not found, and leakage is marked as not addressed with no stated deduction, which increases over-crediting uncertainty even if expected leakage is low. CORSIA eligibility and CCP status are not stated in available documents, so buyers face added uncertainty when making higher-integrity or aviation-related claims.

Documentation

The evidence set includes a monitoring report, validation report, and PDD, with 8 documents used and high extraction confidence, which supports a relatively strong documentation score. The monitoring report is dated 2021-10-07 and aligns with the stated monitoring period end (2021-08-31), indicating reasonable recency. Nonetheless, several important fields are not found or not specified in the extracted record (e.g., additionality test type, grid emission factor details), suggesting gaps in what is publicly captured or extracted.

Overall

No contradictions were identified in the extracted record, so there is no need to privilege one document value over another. The project scores as mid-range: it benefits from VVB involvement, a defined monitoring period, and no reported findings, but is held back by missing baseline quantification details (grid emission factor) and incomplete leakage treatment in the extracted data. If documentation were to fall below 3.0, transparency would be capped post-scoring; and if integrity were below 4.0, the overall would be capped at 6.0—neither gate is triggered by these scores.

Audit Analysis

The project appears to be a standard grid-connected solar PV activity under AMS-I.D with VVB-confirmed additionality and no reported material findings. However, key quantitative baseline inputs (notably the grid emission factor and any leakage treatment) are not present in the extracted record, which increases over-crediting and claim-risk uncertainty despite generally solid documentation coverage.

Project Description

The smallest solar power project ever in Voluntary Carbon Standards The technology being employed, converts solar energy into electrical energy. The technology is an environment friendly technology since there are no GHG emissions associated with the electricity generation. The solar power project use crystalline silicon based solar PV modules. The project site is located in Maden district of Küçükova village, in Elazığ province of Turkey. The total capacity of the project is 3.83 MWe. The generated energy is fed into Gezin Distribution Center, which is connected to the grid through Hazar-1 Substation. An estimated net electricity generation of 6,963 MWh per year by the efficient utilization of the available solar energy by project activity replace the grid electricity, which is constituted of different fuel sources, mainly fossil fuels. The electricity produced by project activity results in a total emission reduction of 3,952 tonnes of CO2e/year. The total emission reduction by the project activity is estimated to be 39,520 tonnes of CO2e for the first crediting period, which is 15-01-2018 to 14-01-2028. Moreover, project activity contributes further dissemination of solar energy and extension of national power generation.

Red Flags

  • Grid emission factor and its vintage are not found in the extracted record, limiting confidence in the quantified avoided emissions.
  • Leakage is marked as not addressed and no leakage deduction is provided, creating an MRV completeness gap even if leakage is typically low for solar PV.

Cosa migliorerebbe questo punteggio

  • Disclose and/or extract the grid emission factor value, source, and applicable year(s), plus any reassessment approach used for the monitoring period.
  • Provide an explicit leakage assessment consistent with AMS-I.D (even if concluding negligible) and state the applied leakage deduction (including 0% with justification).

Questi suggerimenti indicano quali prove pubbliche aggiuntive potrebbero migliorare il livello di confidenza di questa valutazione. Non garantiscono un punteggio futuro più alto.
