Score Breakdown

Integrity

verified The verification report (2026-02-26) confirms additionality by the VVB.

missing The verification report (2026-02-26) lists extensive corrective actions affecting core quantification elements (production emissions, diesel/electricity records, LCA/CORC inconsistencies), undermining robustness.

Transparency

verified A named VVB (EnergyLink Services Pty Ltd) and a defined monitoring period (2026-01-13 to 2026-02-12) are provided in the verification record.

missing Verified vs. claimed removals were not found in the extracted record, and multiple CARs suggest the underlying MRV data trail was not initially reliable (verification report, 2026-02-26).

Claim Safety

verified The project is explicitly not CORSIA-eligible, reducing risk of high-stakes aviation claims (extracted registry facts).

missing Over-crediting risk is elevated because baseline and leakage treatment were not found in the extracted record and the verifier identified multiple calculation/data issues (verification report, 2026-02-26).

Documentation

verified A substantial number of documents were used in extraction (28), indicating a potentially broad document set.

missing Minimum extraction confidence is low and the evidence document list is not specific, limiting auditability of the extracted record.

Detailed Analysis

Integrity

The verification report (2026-02-26) indicates additionality was confirmed by the VVB, which supports integrity at a high level. However, the same verification report lists many corrective actions tied to core emissions/removals quantification (e.g., missing production emissions in the CORC calculation, diesel record issues, electricity use based on trials rather than invoices, and inconsistent LCA/CORC parameters), which materially weakens confidence in the robustness of credited removals. Baseline approach, leakage treatment, and any buffer/reversal provisions were not found in the extracted record, leaving key integrity safeguards unsubstantiated.

Transparency

Transparency is mixed: the VVB is identified (EnergyLink Services Pty Ltd) and the monitoring period is clearly stated (2026-01-13 to 2026-02-12) in the verification record. But the extracted record does not provide claimed or verified total removals for the period, preventing an external reader from reconciling issuance quantities. The volume and nature of corrective actions in the verification report (2026-02-26) also suggest that initial monitoring data and calculation transparency were insufficient until corrected.

Claim Safety

The project is stated as not CORSIA-eligible, which reduces the risk of problematic aviation-related claims based on these credits. Nevertheless, claim safety is constrained by missing key parameters in the extracted record (baseline method, leakage deduction/justification, and any permanence/buffer provisions) and by the verifier’s extensive corrective actions affecting calculation integrity (verification report, 2026-02-26). With removals (claimed and verified) not found in the extracted record, the risk of over-claiming cannot be independently screened.

Documentation

Documentation quality is limited by low minimum extraction confidence, indicating at least one key document was poorly readable and increasing the chance of missing or mis-extracted critical details. While 28 documents were reportedly used, the evidence document list is not specific (listed as "unknown"), reducing traceability. The verification report (2026-02-26) includes many corrective actions, which also signals that documentation and records (e.g., diesel, electricity invoices, stock/production records) required significant remediation.

Overall

Overall performance is constrained by MRV reliability concerns and missing core crediting details in the extracted record, despite VVB-confirmed additionality and a clearly defined monitoring period. Two contradictions must be noted: safeguards and benefit-sharing are shown as present in an earlier document (dated 2026-01-27 or undated) but absent in the later verification record (2026-02-26). I privilege the later verification report values (safeguards not mentioned; benefit-sharing not described) because it is dated later and is the formal assurance document; these inconsistencies reduce confidence and slightly depress transparency/documentation scores. Gate rules to be applied downstream: documentation is above 3.0 so no transparency cap is triggered, and integrity is above 4.0 so the overall cap is not triggered.

Audit Analysis

This Puro biochar removal project has VVB-confirmed additionality, but the extracted record shows major quantification and data-consistency issues that required numerous corrective actions in the verification. Key elements that typically support robust crediting—baseline approach, leakage treatment, and permanence/buffer provisions—were not found in the extracted record, increasing over-crediting risk. CORSIA ineligibility reduces aviation-claim risk, but overall claim safety remains constrained by MRV reliability gaps.

Project Description

In March 2023 we launched our first biochar facility in Concepción, Bolivia. With the remaining two set to begin operations by December 2023 and March 2024. Together, these facilities will leverage the power of Biochar to sequester up to 200,000 tons of CO2 annually. But our vision goes beyond environmental impact. Exomad Green is about creating a better, more sustainable world for everyone. We're striving to improve the quality of life for over 250,000 regional inhabitants, generate green jobs, foster local economic growth, and champion environmental justice across the region. Join us as we embark on this transformative journey, turning residues into wealth and cultivating a more sustainable future. Our process begins at the source with the collection of biomass residues from local sawmills, providing us with an abundant, renewable source of biomass. The biomass is then transported to our state-of-the-art pyrolysis plant, where it undergoes a meticulous sorting and pre- treatment process that includes pre-drying and grinding, using energy-efficient machinery. The biomass is then subjected to pyrolysis at approximately 600 degrees Celsius, during which the carbon in the biomass is trapped, preventing it from being released as carbon dioxide. This results in the production of biochar, a rich carbon product with a unique honeycomb-like structure, ideal for soil enhancement. The biochar we produce improves soil fertility by increasing its capacity to retain water and Bringing buyer and seller together! 1/6 Exomad Green Price 140 € / CORC https://puro.earth/100289 file:///tmp/www.exomadgreen.com tel:www.exomadgreen.com nutrients, enhancing microbial activity, regulating soil pH, and aiding in soil remediation by absorbing toxins and heavy metals. We then donate our biochar to local indigenous communities, empowering them to enhance their agricultural yields. By doing so, we not only support their livelihoods but also actively contribute to reducing deforestati

Red Flags

  • Numerous corrective actions in the verification report indicate material weaknesses in emissions accounting inputs and consistency across tools/documents (e.g., diesel, electricity, LCA/CORC inconsistencies, missing production quantities).
  • Core crediting parameters (baseline approach, leakage deduction/justification, buffer pool or reversal provisions) were not found in the extracted record.
  • Low extraction confidence suggests at least one key document was poorly readable, reducing confidence in completeness and accuracy of the extracted facts.

Cosa migliorerebbe questo punteggio

  • Publish or clearly reference the baseline approach and leakage assessment (including any deduction and justification) in the project’s public documentation and registry record.
  • Disclose period totals for claimed and verified removals and provide a clear reconciliation to issuance, alongside the corrected LCA/CORC tools and underlying activity data (diesel, electricity invoices, production/stock records).

Questi suggerimenti indicano quali prove pubbliche aggiuntive potrebbero migliorare il livello di confidenza di questa valutazione. Non garantiscono un punteggio futuro più alto.
