Analysis

This Gold Standard borehole/kitchen-efficiency project in Malawi carries an extraordinary volume of verification findings (over 80 material findings, 18 corrective actions, and multiple open CLs/FARs) that raise serious concerns about the reliability of its emissions calculations. Thirteen cross-document contradictions — including conflicting fNRB values, leakage justifications, additionality test types, and an exact match between claimed and verified ERR — undermine confidence in the project's quantification. While no reversal events were reported and FPIC was conducted, the overall evidentiary picture is weak.
